I am a psychotherapist with more than 10 years of experience in Russia and Canada. I provide help for people with low self-esteem, low mood and those who worry about life events and struggle with accepting themselves and the challenges they face. I work with adolescents and adult clients.
My aim is to help my clients become self-confident, more comfortable with life situations and more happy and successful. My guiding paradigm is psycholinguistic, identifying cognitive distortions, patterns of negative thinking and mental language that often underly and maintain unwanted life patterns.
I use a variety of methods, including Neuro-linguistic Programming, Cognitive Behavioural and Cognitive Processing Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Positive Psychotherapy, among others.
My patient approach fosters self-understanding, insight into unrecognized strengths and contributes to a broadening of perspective and more multidimensional thinking.
I am a member of the following organizations:
• Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists OACCPP, certified member $ 2957-0412 (C)
• Ontario Psychological Association (# 4408)
• Moscow Psychotherapists Academy (Russia)
• Russian Psychological Society (Russia)
I am an author of nine books, I was a presenter at more than 70 conferences, and wrote more than 70 articles on psychology and related issues. I have doctoral degrees in Linguistics, Psycholinguistics and in Psychology of Personality.
I provide therapy in English and Russian.
My office is located in East York (Woodbine / Danforth – Toronto). Free parking in the driveway.
